The architecture of the future uses the new resources and possibilities of today to interact or, as in this case, blend in with the landscape causing the least possible visual impact.
In the case of the project “The house under the Hill” by the architecture studio mrk office that has designed an amazing house literally under a hill. A house that is nothing more than the result of revising such primitive concepts as seeking refuge in more propitious geographical features such as caves, rocks or hills.
East unique project It is sheltered under a hill in Nashtarud, in the Mazandaran province of Iran. The approach from which he starts is very different from that of the ancients because in looking for a geographical accident, he creates it raising the necessary part of the hill that now acts as a slab.
The result is a house not added on the landbut a house integrated into it that establishes a harmonious relationship with the environment from within the ground.
As a result of this approach, the house goes practically unnoticed from the top, but from the inside it is an impressive building that opens onto the ground through large windows and that takes refuge under an impressive curved slab that is also, in its upper part, part of the hill, with which it shares vegetation and life.
The two marked wings of the roof define the uses of the house that inside it will have 327 m2. One wing of the floor will house the day area (living room, kitchen and dining room), and under the other will be the private area containing the bedrooms. Both zones will be connected from the interior but also from the patio generated by the wings of the roof.
Outside, an impressive swimming pool with curved shapes marked with the same design as the roof, culminates a project that is currently underway.
