Great news for the entire Pokémon gaming community is that The Pokémon Company recently announced Generation 9 and unveiled the new starters for the first stage, so today we’re going to tell you about an amazing leak that’s focused on evolution. end of one of the initials, Fuecoco.
Something that we find quite curious is that, as is tradition, the “leakers” began to flood the seedy corners of the Internet with all kinds of information about Pokémon scarlet and purple. By now, Pokemon fans have learned to take each new leak with a grain of salt.
While there are some highly reputable leakers like Riddler Khu, most of the leaks come from unverifiable or anonymous sources. Such is the case with a recent leak showing the final evolution of Fuecoco, the fire-type starter. While it has all the conventions of a great Pokemon design, fans are quite skeptical due to how good it looks.
The leak of the final evolution of Fuecoco is “too good”
When the image of Fuecoco’s supposed final evolution surfaced online, many fans were quick to scrutinize the leak. But between the perfect Japanese writing and the line art similar to legitimate Pokémon concept art, people began to believe that it was legit. However, another wave of criticism arose when fans suggested the design was “too well done”.
This prompted Reddit user ModishAndElegantPony to post an image of each element of the leaked design that was being examined. Image praised the design stating that it was “strong, unique and extremely pleasing”, “beautifully proportioned” and “consistent with the first stage”.
Ultimately, he deemed the design fake for being too much in line with Generations 1-3 design conventions. Others agreed saying, “Yeah, it checks all the boxes for good design, so it’s definitely fake.” Another comment read: “The first thing that struck me is how ‘perfect’ and unflappable an alleged evolution seems.”
