This four-wheeled feat occurred during the 2022 British Motor Show display in Farnborough. Paul Swift twice broke a record by setting the mark for parallel parking in a tight space using an electric car, while this should be achieved in a matter of seconds.
This maneuver was developed by the pilot using a Mini-e, the electric model of the prominent UK brand. Swift had just three seconds to get the car into a gap between two Mini Coopers parked at the curb.
It is common for drivers to point out that the ideal way to parallel park is with only three movements, which would demonstrate your ability to steer the vehicle, the knowledge of the dimensions of your car and your ability to analyze the dimensions so that your car can correctly enter a chosen space. But those are very simplistic readings for a pro like Swift who did it gracefully and in one motion.
The operation looked very simple for Swift, who only used the accelerator for a few meters before making a half turn and parking the car without emissions in a single movement leaving only 30 centimeters of separation. The measurement is taken by subtracting the length of the car being parked from the size of the parking space.
A day before achieving this mark, he himself had managed to set his own record but leaving only 35 centimeters.
This is an act done by a professional, do not try it at home.
