Wizards of the Coast, known for Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, and Avalon Hill, have started a new study in Raleigh-Durham, located in the state of North Carolina, United States. Here, talent who previously worked at Warner Bros. Games and other AAA studios, are developing a game of G.I. Joe first level.
According to a job application, the new Wizards of the Coast project, is a collaboration with Hasbro to create a GI Joe game, which will have a quality of a AAA title. This is what has been commented on the matter:
“We are creating a talented new development team to develop our first multiplatform action adventure game set in the GI Joe universe.”
Investigating the positions available, it is noted that this title will be a third person action adventure with elements of progression and exploration, with graphics “at the height of Hollywood”. Considering that the Technical Director application is looking for someone with Unreal Engine experience, it is likely that we will see the UE5 integrated into this project.
At the moment there is no more information available, and considering that this project is just beginning, it will surely be some time before I have concrete details. Let’s just hope the wait isn’t that long.
In related topics, a third season has been confirmed for the series of The witcher.
