Sure many have dreamed of a Halo VR, and a video uploaded by a user shows what this project might have been like had it not been cancelled. It is directly a gameplay of the canceled Halo project. The Halo franchise remains one of Microsoft’s most important. More so now that the live-action series has gotten a second season and Halo Infinite is about to receive the cooperative campaign and Forge mode.
Fans were disappointed when the campaign for Halo Infinite was released without cooperative multiplayer, a prominent feature included in every main entry in the franchise. Developer 343 Industries is finally releasing Halo Infinite’s co-op mode, and some players will be able to try it out next week. But many continue to imagine what the canceled Halo VR would have been like, which this brief gameplay lets us glimpse.

Halo VR canceled
Images from the canceled Halo VR project have been revealed, demonstrating what could have been a radically different future for the franchise. The details and images of the canceled project have been brought to light by Mr_Rebs_ on Twitter, which has uncovered cut game content and many canceled projects. Rebs clarifies that 343 was so impressed by Halo VR that she hired the mod’s designer, Nibre_, as an engineer for Halo: MCC.

The 2019 footage shows Halo: MCC VR mod works fine with VR technology. Still, 343 ultimately decided not to go ahead with the project, titled Reverie at the time, due to limited users and the challenges that come with developing a VR game. Instead, the developer focused on Halo Infinite and a new yet unannounced Halo game.
