With a contract of 200 million euros per year, Cristiano Ronaldo is the highest paid footballer in history.
The Portuguese has a lifetime contract with Nike, valued at one billion dollars.
Currently, CR7 is also the footballer with the most followers on Instagram and the one who charges the most for an advertising post.
While Cristiano Ronaldo is in Madrid, his debut with Al-Nassr is getting closer, a match that has drawn the attention of the international media, given that, in a friendly match, the Portuguese will play against Lionel Messi, which is why which tickets have started to sell in millions.
The recent World Cup in Qatar is supposed to be the last for the two biggest stars of modern football, Messi and CR7; the first finishing as champion and the second eliminated from the competition, ending -for some- the “eternal debate” about “who is better?”
A little less than a month after the end of the Qatar 2022 final, which faced Argentina vs. France, the name of Lionel Messi, as expected, has not stopped being a trend when it comes to social networks and sports marketing.
We are talking, from the outset, of the footballer with the greatest number of Ballon d’Ors in history; the top star of Adidas, with whom he even has a life contract, through which he receives about 23 million euros per year. This, without forgetting that, currently, the contract he has with Paris Saint-Germain Football Club, earning 41 million euros per month.
Now, not long ago the intentions of the Arab league to take the current World Champion with Argentina were made known, offering an annual salary of 300 million euros, a fact that, if accepted, would make the former Barcelona striker FC in the player with the best contract in history, but this has not yet been said.
Al-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi: a debut that costs fans millions
During the second decade of the 2000’s, football worldwide experienced one of the highest moments in terms of sports and, likewise, in terms of marketing thanks to the rivalry between Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, former Barcelona FC players and Real Madrid, being these two of the most winning European clubs.
Even in the last World Cup there were those who claimed that the table was set for both players to face each other in the final, which did not happen.
What did happen is that, after being eliminated from the World Cup in Qatar and being fired from Manchester United, CR7 got the best contract of his life… and in football history: Al-Nassr signed him for two and a half seasons, and will pay him 200 million euros per year.
Little by little we are getting closer to Cristiano Ronaldo’s debut with Al-Nassr, in a match in which the Arab club will face PSG, a team led by Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr and the young promise Kylian Mbappé.
The match will take place on January 19 and, according to some media reports, tickets for the friendly match are sold for up to 2.6 million dollars, a figure that could even increase as the date approaches. Notably, more than 2 million fans have tried to buy tickets for the matchHowever, the tickets are already reported as sold out.
