The open beta of the fighting game similar to Super Smash Bros., Multi Versus, is now in Early Access, available to anyone willing to spend 60 minutes earning a Twitch Drop. The full open beta launch, which guarantees full access to the free-to-play game, will begin on July 26.
Not only players are immersing themselves in Multi Versus, discovering its protagonists and unlocking new characters, but modders are also dipping their toes in the water. For example, a MultiVersus modder has added a MultiVersus character skin to the game. Super Smash Bros.
YouTube modder and content creator Junior recently shared a video on Twitter showcasing his work on Multi Versus. The mod, one of the first of its kind, adds Link from Super Smash Bros. to MultiVersus. It’s not a gameplay mod, of course.
Simply apply Link’s model from The Legend of Zelda in place of one of the fighters from Multi Versus. In this case, Junior chose to substitute Wonder Woman for Link, perhaps because she is the only freely unlocked character in the game.
In this case, Wonder Woman is an optimal choice to switch to Link. She wields both a sword and a shield in the game, exactly what Link would need. The players of Super Smash Bros. They’ll also appreciate Wonder Woman’s underhand attack, which is nearly identical to Link’s traditional move.
There are some weird moves that don’t intersect perfectly, of course. Wonder Woman’s Lasso of Truth whip is not a traditional weapon from The Legend of Zelda. Additionally, Wonder Woman can fly horizontally and punch her opponent, which Link finds a bit strange.
