A company made up of a conglomerate of luxury companies in Asia, Europe and South America called Arity is adopting blockchain technology through NFTs to revolutionize the world of jewelry and precious minerals.
The information received in a press release this Thursday indicates that the company is giving the jewelry it produces a fully traceable blockchain certificate that is linked to a high-quality photograph that captures the beauty of the piece in its entirety linked to a non-fungible token (NFT).
This NFT in addition to allowing the corresponding certificate of ownership of the physical jewel produced by the company includes a digital copy that can be used by its owner in the metaverse.
The purpose, according to the company, is to generate a kind of bridge between the real jewel-art and one that is digital.
“At Arity we have been driving the innovation agenda through the supply of precious minerals by implementing NFTs to tell the story of every piece of jewelry we design and auction. We are vertically integrated, with sustainable mining operations in the Chivor region of Colombia, a location with high international recognition for producing the most beautiful emeralds in the world, and by authenticating the source on the blockchain, it is possible to establish its valuable provenance and have verifiable sustainability claims” says Ismael Fleing, Co-Founder of Arity.
This NFT will also allow a series of benefits both in the real world and in the physical world, notably access to decentralized sustainable mining rewards, prior and exclusive access to high jewelry collections and a life pass for future NFT collections as well as access to the virtual gallery of unique pieces promoted by the company in the metaverse.
The company concludes by pointing out that combining the physical with the digital, in this case with NFTs, grants an exclusivity unmatched in the world to the owners of the products.
