How much would you be willing to pay for an electric motorcycle designed for the city? Black Tea Bonfire is already a reality on the market.
For some time now, sustainable mobility has sought to gain a foothold in the market. The advent of battery-based solutions are increasingly competitive, both in terms of price and in terms of dynamic qualities. All this has allowed new companies arise in search of meeting a demand that does not stop increasing. After all, the system of such a motorcycle is very simple.
It all started with fleets of motorcycle-based vehicles to be used in bikesharing. After that, the first private units began to be seen, but the truth is that obtaining profitability in a model with these characteristics It is very difficult. Now, there are other alternatives with a much more competitive price. The best example of this is shown by Black Tea.
The Bonfire model has been possible thanks to crowdfunding campaigns
This firm has just announced the production of the Bonfire. Although the beginnings of the brand were somewhat turbulent from the economic point of view, the situation has changed dramatically. So much so that the list of orders available is already open, as well as the delivery date of the first motorcycles of the brand. Without a doubt, everything is looking forward to your success.
The electric motorcycle, in fact, has a series of differentiating elements that make this model something special. With manufacturing headquarters in Munich, everything is already prepared so that in the coming months we can enjoy an off-road vehicle. This is so due to its knobby wheels, which, however, can be replaced for urban driving.
Let’s see, therefore, what are the main qualities of its Bonfire model, why we are facing a differential technology in the market and, above all, to what extent a motorcycle based on this premise can be a success in an industry dominated, more and more, by a greater number of companies.
A motorcycle that stands out, above all, for the simplicity of its image
The first thing that should be noted about this proposal is the provision of a total of 3 driving modes. The most aspirational will allow the user to reach a speed close to 70 km / h. With this, it seems easy to understand that we are facing a model that can only circulate on urban roads or, conversely, on unpaved tracks outside the city.
In relation to autonomy, as can be read in the specialized portal Ride Apart, with each full charge cycle, a maximum of 55 theoretical kilometers can be carried out. However, its main characteristic to value is the rudimentary charging system that offers. This one, however, is efficient enough to enjoy rapid increases in autonomy.
As an example, to enjoy from empty to 80% of the load, using a standard 110 V or 220 V household electrical outlet system, only a period of time close to 3 hours will be required. The remaining part of the charge, traditionally slower to avoid battery degradation, will charge in just an additional hour.
Regarding the components used, it is striking to see how it includes hydraulic fork suspension with 31mm tubes at the front and 200mm at the rear, or disc brakes with two-piston calipers and 220mm rotors. It is, therefore, a long-distance technology that stands out, above all, for its revolutionary technology.
A contribution designed to hit the market in just a few months
Who was going to tell this company that, in just a few months, it could produce the first deliveries of this motorcycle? It is important to note that this has been possible thanks to the provision of a contribution of funds purely necessary. In fact, a capital injection of 700,000 euros is what allowed to maintain a project in which a number of investors believed from the beginning.
Now, just a few months later, the period for the formalization of the reservation is already open. We are faced with a company that offers the Bonfire at a cost of 3,999 euros, a very competitive price considering that it is a purely electrical product, the profitability of which will be achieved over the months and its intensive use in the city.
It will take a while, however, for Black Tea Motorbikes to see revenue above costs. In the future the profit will come. Despite all this, we are facing a differential offer, which is very comparable to that which can be observed in other options provided in the market based on fossil fuels.
