Brazil is currently the second country in the Americas with the most monkeypox infections, only behind the United States, which is close to 3,000 cases, according to the latest figures released by the WHO. The first case in this Latin American country was registered on June 8, in a 41-year-old man who arrived in Sao Paulo after a trip to Spain, the country most affected by the outbreak in the world.
