Every weekend I get ideas about what I can write, I base myself on what I’m doing on a day-to-day basis or I search Google Trends for what people are talking about, it’s very easy, you just put a related word; which in my case can be some such as creativity, innovation, internal communication, endomarketing, entrepreneurship, etc.
Lately they have sought me out to talk about Birth and about other ventures that I have and to talk about the many, many that I have gone bankrupt and that I have not been able to raise. Precisely today, I want to talk about entrepreneurship with very clear, direct and sincere advice and I took it by putting the word entrepreneurship in Google Trends and seeing that within the 10 most searched related queries are phrases such as: characteristics of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship ideas, conscious entrepreneurship or characteristics of an entrepreneurial person and I want to focus on the latter.
Before talking about the main characteristic of an entrepreneurial person, let me tell you that entrepreneurship is not for everyone and not all entrepreneurs become entrepreneurs and it is not necessarily bad, it all depends on what you want and how far you want to go. In a VUCA world, in a world of speed to market and lean startups, everything is for yesterday and it seems that the biggest secret to achieving your goals is to make mistakes but learn as quickly as possible as you go along but keep pushing and learning, pushing and achieving, experiencing and discarding. It is a world that turns very fast, where today the tortoise does not beat the hare and where it is no longer said that the big brands eat the small ones, but that the fast ones beat the slow ones.
Now yes, the main characteristic of an entrepreneurial person is to have the ability to start up as soon as possible. Just like that, the one that begins, the one that dares to take that first step.
I was just listening to a podcast about entrepreneurship and they made a lot of emphasis on this point, mentioning that 50% of the progress in having a successful entrepreneurship or business is starting. It seems the dumbest and most obvious thing in the universe but it is not. Most of the time, because of planning and planning so much, because of seeking to be born with all the perfect bases, sometimes the entrepreneurship is never born, or it loses momentum, a risk that we cannot afford today. At this time we cannot afford perfectionism, it is better to move forward and improve and correct as we go than to have a Corvette parked for years or centuries.
So, what I’m trying to tell you is; if you have an idea, conviction and the moment to undertake, don’t stop for anything, move forward with what you have, join the best team, stop being a junk as you move forward if you want to become a company, but start, and then, then don’t stop. The world needs more people who are Boosters, who promote, achieve, link, propose initiatives and achieve them, dare, advance, WIN.
