It is quite evident to everyone that the MCU has become a phenomenon thanks to the high-quality film productions that it has offered us for a few years.
Its great success is due in part to the great and talented cast that they have selected for each of the characters, where it has been known that the protagonists have generated friendship between them, but things were not always like that, we mean that, according to words of Jeremy Renner, who shared with us a series of curious anecdotes, among them, he highlighted that of Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Hemsworth.
It was then that Jeremy Renner, who plays Hawkeye, had a recent interview on the podcast Armchair Expert, in which he was talking about what he thought Downey Jr. the first time he met Chris Hemsworth on the set of the first film of avengers.
And it was there, where Renner, let us know the first thing that the interpreter of Hombre de Hierro when he met his partner Thor, moment in which the popular actor suggested “breaking his legs” for considering him very handsome and tall:
“If you ever played a sport, it was like joining a new team. I met Robert Downey Jr., I met Scarlett Johansson, I just didn’t know Chris Hemsworth. It’s amazing, but we didn’t know that, right? On the first day, we’re all waiting in our costumes, It seems like it’s Halloween. We’re excited, but we still feel ridiculous.”
“I feel like we all knew each other in some way, except for this Hemsworth guy, because he comes from Australia. And he is the tallest, the most handsome… Downey said: We have to break his knee. We have to get it out. This guy is too handsome. He’s too tall, he’s too charming, fuck him.”
Obviously, the proposals Robert Downey Jr. they were just a joke and he was probably just looking for a way to welcome Hemsworth on the first day of shooting the film.
It should be noted that this moment was not the first moment in which the actors met, since in the San Diego Comic-Con in 2010 Marvel Studios decided to gather the 6 avengers for the first time to officially announce the project, although in that event they hardly had time to live together.
It was quickly seen that they formed a good team, something that made the producers and the fans happy, since the cast got along well from the beginning and that had a lot to do with the fact that the MCU grew to become what it is today.
