Monster Hunter Rise lands on PC to expand the base of players who go together – and separately – hunting monsters. We tell you everything we saw in this review …
Monster Hunter Rise is the new installment in the Monster Hunter saga, which first arrived on Nintendo Switch worldwide. Now, it promises to expand its player base with an improved visual experience on PC.
What’s new?
The PC version will have neither crosssave nor crossplay with Switch. Therefore, the progress you have made on your console will be completely eliminated if you start the game on the PC. But, aside from that, Monster Hunter Rise PC will have all the extra content that Nintendo has released from the moment of launch until its arrival on the new platform.
At a visual level, you will have the possibility to “set” a filter for the game, which will be applied throughout your gameplay. This is interesting, as art is one of the highlights of Monster hunter rise.
Become an expert hunter …
The story of Monster hunter rise it is not very complex. You are a hunter recently joined the guild in the village of Kamura. And your union with the guild came relatively in good time -or bad timing, depending on how you look at the glass- because the FRENESÍ is about to return.
The Frenzy, is, apparently, when the monsters grabs -for lack of a major technical term– the chiripiorca and they begin to behave very violently, attacking the village en masse. ANDNow, instead of using the guild’s thousands of expert hunters… it will be your turn to look after the well-being of the village. There our missions begin …
As we rank up, we’ll be able to explore more lands and prepare to hunt down bigger, badder, and uglier critters in what is arguably the least vegan-friendly game in the world.
But luckily we will not be alone, our comrades will accompany us who, no, they are not comrades in the proletarian revolutionbut two beings similar to a dog and a cat. Likewise, a ninja dog and a healer cat seem like great allies when we take over the means of production …
Story mode can seem a bit monotonous and slow. The missions often require us to re-visit the same map many times and we cannot take history missions simultaneously. The campaign game has about 20 hours of playability if you do it “quickie” and about 60 if you are one of those who do not leave a mission unfinished. The time you spend online is purely yours.
A hunter for each weapon …
One of the cool things about this game is the flexibility in customization. From the character creation menu with thousands of options (the first two hours of the game you spend here, fixed), to the ability to adapt your style of play to what suits you best.
To your comrades Felyne and Canye, You can also customize them ensuring that their roles complement your style of play. You can put weapons on them or assign them particular tasks -the Felyne For example, it has a support role, and you can focus it on the cure, or on the collection of objects, among other things.
You can also choose from a wide variety of ranged or melee weapons, with a giant tree of possibilities in each weapon style. Upgrading your weapon or creating a new weapon is part of the fun in the game.
To those who have just entered the world of Monster hunter rise it may be a bit difficult for you to assimilate so much information all together …but the learning curve is very friendly if you start the game with the story missions and then focus on the multiplayer.
As you level up, the challenge of hunting or trapping monsters becomes more complex, and it will be necessary for you to learn well from them in order to do your job in a better way.
Play Monster hunter rise it is a bit of the game-play equivalent to start a healthy relationship. You may want to put in a little bit of it every day, but if you overdo it, you will probably feel bloated. Its constant updating ensures that the endgame it will be entertaining enough to be worth every penny it costs.
The multiplayer It was not available at the time we played it, since not having crossplay the servers were literally empty. But we do know that there are event missions and that the best way to farm is doing it with friends.
Graphics and performance
In the Demo available for PC graphics Monster hunter rise they seemed far superior to those of Switch. In the full version beta we played to make this review, the textures of some things – like our characters’ faces – look a bit strange. Needless to say, for the style of art, it is not the game to expect your video card to shine.
Beyond that, the performance of this game on PC is excellent. We play it in very high quality on a computer on a computer with 16GB of Ram a mid-range processor and a GeForce 1660ti graphics card with 6GB of VRAM. We tell you what the requirements are so that you can run it on your PC.

Conclusions.
Monster hunter rise is a much loved game of Nintendo switch Which adds to the library of PC fans, at good time. Mixing elements of a MMORPG and a single player game, it is a game that will give you many hours in front of your computer.
You need to know exactly where you are getting before playing this game – the story progression is much more of a MMROPG that of an Action / Adventure game, and as you level up catching the monsters becomes a more strategic than aggressive task. If you are not clear on that and you don’t like that kind of progression, you are likely to get bored.
