The director said that individualized attention is offered and comprehensive goals are provided for each person, which is valued and monitored by a multidisciplinary team.
He regretted that, for many years, psychiatric ailments were poorly understood, and due to the lack of adequate treatment. The patients were isolated and permanently confined in nursing homes or hospitals.
“Fortunately, research and medical advances have made it possible to understand that people with psychiatric conditions. Girls, boys and adolescents especially require comprehensive care, where family participation is very necessary, ”he said.
