The last game of Castlevania for consoles, away from the world of pachinko and mobiles, it was Lords of shadow 2 in 2014. Since then, fans have held out hopes of seeing a new installment thanks to the success of the Netflix series, a couple of collections, and the presence of Simon and Richter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Fortunately, a report has good news for these people, since there is talk about a new title already in development.
According to sources close to VGC, the Japanese company would already be working on a new Castlevania game, which is described as a “reimagining” of the series. Unlike the supposed remake of Metal Gear Solid 3, this game would be in charge of Konami, with the help of an external study.
Unfortunately, no further information is provided on this. Considering that the Castlevania series has basically three different styles of play, it will be interesting to see which path Konami chooses. As always, this is just a rumor, and at the moment there is no official information about it.
The VGC report mentions that the plans to revive Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania and Silent Hill are due to a restructuring that we saw earlier in the year. Hopefully these projects do become a reality, and not just one more rumor that gives hope to an audience wanting to see more of his beloved series.
In related topics, a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 it could be a reality. Similarly, a Castlevania game is available on Xbox Games With Gold this month.
