The California Streaming keynote is over after more than an hour in which we saw the new iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro. It is in the latter that we saw a novelty enormous: 1TB storage. With this option, the 1TB iPhone 13 Pro Max becomes the most expensive iPhone in Apple’s history.
An iPhone 13 Pro Max with 1TB of space and 1,839 euros
The iPhone 13 Pro stands out from previous generations for its notch shortened, but also by the arrival of the ProMotion screen, new A15 Bionic processor, Improved 5G and higher camera capabilities. Thus, we have night mode in all sensors and cinema mode, among other things.
The price is maintained, despite the new features, as Apple often does. However, when we go to the configurator to choose the model, a new storage option appears: 1TB of space. The cost of each level of capacity in the iPhone 13 Pro Max, the most expensive model, is as follows:
- 128Gb for 1,259 euros.
- 256GB for 1,379 euros, 120 euros more for an additional 128GB (0.93 euros / GB).
- 512GB for 1,609 euros, 230 euros more for an additional 256GB (0.89 euros / GB).
- 1TB for 1,839 euros, 230 euros more for an additional 512GB (0.45 euros / GB).
The iPhone 13 Pro Max with 1TB of storage is the most expensive in Apple’s history
With price increases and storage in hand, the most profitable gigabyte of the iPhone 13 Pro Max is the terabyte. But of course, to get to the terabyte of storage, you need to go through all the price increases above. So we went from paying 1,259 euros for the basic model to 1,839 euros for the maximum model.
Each user will know if each of these storage levels is worth it. The initial 128GB is more than enough for everyday use. Of course, keep in mind that in this model ProRes video recording is only 1080p and 30f / s. This restriction seems more like a matter of having room to spare without constantly running into the full storage advisory.
