One day after the arrival of Windows 11, Disney + has launched its application for Windows 10 and Windows 11. As Netflix and Amazon Prime Video did, the way to view its contents on the system is to install it from the Windows Store.
It was an app long-awaited since it appeared in the presentation of the new Windows Store 11. Until now, the closest thing she had to have on the system was “installing” Disney + as PWA for Microsoft Edge, Chrome, and other Chromium browsers.

Having your own application on Windows and in general on the desktop is always great news (which macOS cannot boast about at the moment regarding any streaming platform). However, the Disney + app arrives without the most anticipated function here and on mobiles: downloading content to play offline.
On mobiles, the function is from day one, allowing content to be downloaded even in HDR. However, in Windows the possibility is not mentioned either when viewing the contents or in settings. We will have to wait to see if they add it.
What Disney + does well is to have the possibility of viewing the content in a mini-player, as a PiP or Picture in Picture. In addition, there is also the GroupWatch function, which allows you to view the same content in a group. In the interface we have seen that the application supports playback in 4K HD
