The realme 4K Smart TV Stick has a processor ARM Cortex-A35 quad-core, dual-core GPU in addition to 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory. The remote has a button for the Google Assistant, being able to use it directly with the microphone that the remote incorporates. We also have buttons to go directly to the applications of Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video and YouTube Music. In the case of wanting to send content from the mobile, we can do it through Chromecast.
It has Google TV as operating system
At the software level, it not only has Android TV, but also google tv, with the most advanced Google interface for Smart TVs. With it, all the content from the different streaming platforms is integrated into the same interface so you don’t have to search for content individually on each of the platforms. In addition, we have access to more than 7,000 applications, including Netflix, Prime Video, Disney +, HBO Max, or players such as Plex, VLC or MX Player.
At the level of connectivity, we find WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.0 and HDMI 2.0. The maximum resolution of the device is 4K at 60Hz, and is compatible with content in HDR10+. The charging port is microUSB, being able to use it comfortably on any television or even on a projector to have Smart TV anywhere. Its dimensions are 90 x 29.8 x 14.5 mm, weighing only 30 grams.
It costs 69.99 euros
The realme TV Stick was launched internationally last October after leaking a few weeks earlier, and we already have the possibility of buy it from Spain. Its price is 69.99 euros, and can be buy on the official website.
Although the price is quite tight, it is difficult to justify the purchase of this device over other options that we find in the competition. Same, the Chromecast with Google TV is worth 69.99 euros, and even right now it’s downgraded to 59.99 euros at MediaMarkt, so getting a version with better official update support from Google is even cheaper.
However, it is very positive for the market to have a competitor for Chromecast with Google TV. The one from realme is the only device he has google tv, since Xiaomi uses Android TV. Looking ahead, it is to be expected that there will be more devices that integrate Google TV from scratch, including the future and rumored new Chromecast that Google is currently working on.
