In 1966, the Ford Bronco, the Mustang of off-roaders, appeared in the United States. Now Ford pays homage to the first Bronco with the Heritage special editions of the 2023 range in its three bodies. There will be only 1,966 copies of each variant.
Ford makes available to Americans Heritage Editions for the Ford Bronco and Bronco Sport, which will not be available for Europe. They are all a nod to the first generation. Of each version there will be 1,966 units, commemorating the year of the debut of the Bronco SUV.

In short, these are versions that are distinguished by their retro-type aesthetics and a good level of equipment. The Heritage Limited are more equipped than the Heritage, better motorized, and are focused on customers with greater purchasing power. All versions are from gasoline enginelike the first Bronco.
In the promotional video and the gallery we can see an example of each. They are very easy to distinguish by color oxford white for the front grille, the two-tone roof, the side stripe and the 17″ alloy wheels, all recreating the style of the 1960s. Inside the grille, the words “FORD” or “BRONCO” stand out in red, depending on whether they are Bronco or Bronco Sport.
There was no equivalent to the Bronco Sport in the 1960s, but it has still received the special series treatment.
In addition to that, the Broncos have a 2″ widened track, so they have larger wheel arches and tires Goodyear Territory MT. The front bumper is specific to this version and comes with fog lights. The Heritage Limited’s wheel design is a “dog food bowl” style, distinctly different from the Bronco Sport and Bronco Heritage design.
In the case of the Bronco Sport Heritage Limited Edition, the tires are more adapted to off-road use. Instead of Continental CrossContact they wear some Falken Wildpeak A/Tand the aggressive tread is striking, with shoulders designed to get out of the most difficult terrain.

It’s the same with Bronco Sport, the Heritage carries the 1.5 EcoBoost 181 hp and the Bronco Sport Heritage Limited turns to the more powerful 2.0 EcoBoost 250 hp. The Bronco Sport’s all-wheel-drive system is less sophisticated because it’s more of an SUV.
Broncos Sport have advanced management for off-road driving, called GOAT (in English, “” goes through any ground “” or GOAT). Allows you to choose Normal, Eco, Sport, Sliding and Sand driving modes. Heritage Limiteds add Mud/Ruts and Crawler modes. They also have the HOSS system as standard and intelligent distribution of torque between the rear wheels.
