Two aircraft on the ground had an impact at the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) while maneuvering on taxiways; No injuries were reported, the airport authority reported.
“Two aircraft on the ground, between taxiways B and D, they had an impact between the wingtip of one and the horizontal stabilizer of the other, without causing harm to anyone. The corresponding authorities began an investigation to determine the causes,” reported the AICM on Twitter at 4:22 p.m.
A user on Twitter shared a photograph in which one of the crashed planes is supposedly seen, and a dent can be seen.
Until now, The airport has not indicated which airlines the planes involved in the accident belong to.; however, in social networks it is said that they are from Aeroméxico and Delta Airlines; the latter was destined for New York.
There is also no information so far whether the incident will affect the takeoffs and landings of other flights at the capital’s airport.
