Last tests, last adjustments. The 89th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans starts at 4:00 p.m., but before that, drivers and teams had the opportunity to complete a brief ‘warm up’ in which to check that everything is in place. A short session that has passed under without major shocks and in which Toyota has signed a new 1-2. This time, Sébastien Buemi was the fastest driver in the # 8 Toyota after signing a time of 3: 28.529. Mike Conway’s # 7 Toyota was three tenths behind, with the # 36 Alpine third.
Leaving aside the hypercar and focusing on the rest of the categories that make up the WEC and its queen appointment, United Autosports’ Oreca # 23 finished with the best time among the LMP2 after signing Alex Lynn a time of 3: 32.841. Four tenths behind the second of Zak Brown’s team prototypes, in this case # 32 in the hands of Nico Jamin.
