It may seem that the month no longer has more to offer, but it is just the starting signal for what awaits us until the end of the year. In fact, It seems that Xiaomi left something in the pipeline during its presentation and that it has come to light today, MIUI 12.5 Enhanced.
MUI 12.5 Enhanced, the MIUI version for your high-end mobiles is already a reality
This version of MIUI would have been specially developed to offer Xiaomi’s high-end terminals an addition of power, efficiency and intelligence. At least that is how it is described in the publication on the Weibo social network, which is where the announcement of this software version has been made.
MIUI 12.5 Enhanced focuses on improving four key elements of Xiaomi’s high-end terminals. In the infographic that announces this new software version, reference is made to terms that had not been seen in MIUI until now.
Liquid storageAlthough it may seem that there is talk of something revolutionary, it actually refers to the fact that Xiaomi has managed to stop memory degradation. Now the degradation will be less than 5% in a period of 36 months of use.
Atomic memory, this improvement allows the device to have more free storage to be used. How? Xiaomi comments that memory management has been improved thanks to more efficient methods when compressing files.
Focus computing, Xiaomi wants to prevent and accelerate the behavior of terminals with MIUI 12.5 Enhanced. This will be done thanks to 51 predefined scenarios which will be applied at the necessary times in order to make the terminal respond better and faster.
Smart balance, this improvement is focused on energy consumption. What MIUI 12.5 Enhanced wants to do is that the devices have a balanced performance with the consumption, the energy is used to the maximum. This will be done thanks to the help of Artificial Intelligence.
MIUI 12.5 Enhanced compatible phones
Xiaomi has commented that high-end devices will be the ones that receive this new version of software. The list is quite concise: Xiaomi Mix 4; Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro; Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra, Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10 and Mi 10S.
The surprise is that Redmi devices will also be able to enjoy that new version of MUI: Redmi K40, Redmi K40 Pro, Redmi K30S Ultra and Redmi K30 Pro. This opens the possibilities that POCO devices can also receive this update.
Regarding the release date of the new version, Xiaomi has set it for August 13. At the moment the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced version will remain in China, we will have to wait to see if it crosses the borders.
