The controversy with Blizzard continues: its president, J. Allen Brack, leaves the company
If we are players we are sure we know Blizzard, a company, a subsidiary of Activision, responsible for great titles such as Diablo, Warcraft, World of Warcraft, Starcraft, Overwatch and more. In recent weeks, unfortunately, the company has been involved in a series of controversies over sexist behavior in the work environment and misogynistic treatment in front of its workers.
Although the company has tried to excuse itself more than once from the accusations, each time new dirty raps are discovered from its workers, managers and directors. It is clear that this type of behavior cannot be ignored. And, little by little, all those responsible who have allowed it will fall, starting with the president of the company.
Just a few hours ago, the CEO of Blizzard, J. Allen Brack, has announced that he is leaving the company. He started working at Blizzard in 2006, being the executive producer of World of Warcraft. In 2019 he became president of the company until today, which has announced his retirement.
Following the departure of Brack, the former Xbox executive, Mike ybarra, and the director of Vicarious Visions, Jen Oneal, will be the co-directors of Blizzard Entertainment. Now it is a matter of time before those responsible for the company’s unacceptable behavior continue to fall.
