What started as a collection of children’s toys has grown into one of the most successful movie franchises in modern Hollywood. First created in Japan, Hasbro was the company that eventually introduced these characters to the United States, naming them the transformers. They quickly became popular with children, and it was inevitable that their dominance would spread to other industries, such as cartoons and eventually movies. Below, we present the Transformers movies, in order of release and the platforms where you can find them.
What was before the movies?
Hasbro already had previous experience creating and launching multimedia products based on its toys. It is then that together with Marvel Comics a series of comics based on the Transformers was created, at that time Jim Shooter was in charge of the project, being the editor-in-chief of Marvel. Another of the creatives who made great contributions to the saga at that time was Bob Budiansky, giving personality to many of the Transformers we know today.
In addition to the movies, there was also a series called Transformers Generation 1 that began in 1984, with a total of four seasons. Since then, the endless war between Decepticons and Autobots led respectively by Megatron and Optimus Prime was already known. Seeking to defend or dominate Cybertron and the entire world. Currently there are also other animated series that complement the saga.
