The Mexican filmmaker Guillermo del Toro was awarded this Tuesday, January 11, 2023, with the Golden Globe for the best animated film for his version of Pinocchio.

Del Toro returned to this ceremony after in 2018 he became the third Latino director to win the best director award with “The Shape of Water” at these awards organized by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and considered the prelude to the Oscars.
