One of the things that is on the lips of all fans of the League of Legends competitive scene is that a new final of the Latin American League of League of Legends (LLA) was experienced yesterday throughout the region, a final between two teams that were thirsty for revenge and that had its highest point in the Gamergy arena in Mexico City.
Something that seems quite striking to us is that, Estral Esports (EST) and Isurus Gaming (ISG), animated a battle not suitable for heart patients in Summoner’s Rift and that Isurus was the brand new winner in a confrontation of 5 close games. With this, the shark squad is crowned LLA champion for the third time, breaks Grell’s curse and ensures its participation in the League of Legends World Championship (Worlds 2022) and that it will be played in the play in phase, so unpublished, in Mexico.

But before entering the game, and looking back, Estral’s standings stand out with a record of 11 wins and just three losses in the regular season, making it to the final against the same opponent as today: ISG. On the other hand, Isurus was looking to revive his old glories when in 2019 he lifted the cup for the last time and inspired by two superb figures like Seiya and Grell, who allowed him to advance to a new final.
A confrontation that united the entire continent, and where each team sought glory with its best players. Bugi and Acce as exponents of Estral, and on his side, Seiya together with Grell as the highest references of Isurus. All in charge of giving revenge and taking their teams to the top of esports in Latin America.
In the first game, the fans attending Gamergy were able to enjoy an intense confrontation, dominated by the Isurus Gaming squad, which in addition to keeping the First Blood, devastated all the objectives of the rift. The first 10 minutes already showed a Seiya hungry for victory who, with the highest damage rates of the game, did not allow a shy Estral Esports to enter the game and numbed by the fury of the Mexican duo, to which Grell was added.
Acce, the most damaging of the eagles, could do little against the attacks of the shark that did not give Bugi respite, one of the best of the entire season. Extermination of the Estral Esports team in 28 minutes and GG for Isurus Gaming who won the first game and 23 kills in favor.
The second game featured the awakening of Estral, who led his team to victory in this assault with the help of Bugi as MVP dominating the jungle. Although the game was very even until the end, at the beginning Isurus made a monologue of what was the first confrontation; taking the First Blood, some big targets like the Herald and Dragons; and a triple murder of Seiya gave account of the doubt of Las Águilas.
However, and with the obtaining of the second Herald, EST began to win the teamfights and an evident rise in the 15 minutes of play. 30 minutes of back-and-forth, coupled with evenness, presented an exciting game that broke down in the 37th minute when the sharks fell short of damage in front of the nexus. Estral attacked with all his power and with a not so bulky difference in gold, plus the Baron in his favor, he won the second game with 23 kills against 22 for Isurus.
The third game lasted almost 40 minutes, marked by teamfights won by Isurus Gaming. As was the pattern throughout the match, the Sharks opened with first blood, but were immediately answered with a double kill against them at the hands of Kindless and Shadow. The first 15 minutes were even, but they would begin to see an imbalance with the obtaining of objectives, added the kills by Gavotto and the confidence of Grell, who subjected the eagles’ squad to a lot of damage.
Baron Nashor for ISG, plus the Dragon Soul bonus and a new kill, allowed Isurus to leave the matchup on tiebreak with 28 kills in the pocket in 38 minutes of play. In the fourth game, Estral Esports came out psyched not to make mistakes, so his game was much more strategic.
Turning the tide at the start of all games, the Eagles claimed First Blood. 12 minutes into the game and only one kill, while the teams went for the objectives, until the team fights began, which this time were dominated by Estral’s squad. Torres, Oro, Dragons, Barons, Linings and an unstoppable Kindless with Aphelios, outlined their squad to win the fourth game, despite Seiya’s resistance.
In 41 minutes, EST won the fourth battle with 24 kills in their favor and 80K gold in their coffers. Grell’s First Blood already predicted the result of the fifth and last game of the grand finale of the Liga Latinoamerica Clausura 2022. In a game that had 30 minutes of strategy by both teams and a tense Summoner’s Rift due to their cautious advance, the winner of the game was marked by obtaining objectives.
ISG, obtained the dragons, taking the Soul and the Ancestral Dragon that allowed him to generate more damage to the rival, for his part, Estral obtained the Baron Nashor to counteract the shark’s attacks. Finally, and in Estral’s failed attack to keep the nexus, Isurus took advantage of the extermination and attacked with everything towards the inhibitors and the nexus of the eagles to win the crown of this edition of the LLA in 44 minutes, with 18 murders in favor versus 13 and 75K gold.
