An enemy could connect the universes of Fallout and Starfield
Starfield will be the Bethesda’s first new IP in the last 25 years when it goes on sale next year. It is normal that expectations are through the roof and fans scrutinize every last detail of the only gameplay trailer that has been shown to date, which would have even revealed a possible connection to the Fallout universe.
Nothing has been commented on explicitly, but as far as we know, Starfield is a standalone science fiction universe to any other franchise, so it wouldn’t have anything to do with Fallout. Still, a user shows that this might not be entirely true and be related in some way or another.
The point is that in Fallout there have traditionally been aliens, always somewhere between humor and seriousness, like the Mothership Zeta expansion in Fallout 3 or the crashed alien ship in Fallout: New Vegas. In Fallout 1 and 2 there was already an alien enemy called Floater who made his reappearance in the series in Fallout 76, although he was scheduled to do so already in Fallout: New Vegas, and could appear in Starfield as well.
For a part of the fan community, that floating enemy seen in the Starfield trailer released during the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase is exactly the same Floater that plays the enemy in Fallout. If true, could mean Fallout and Starfield take place in the same universe, albeit at very distant points in human evolution. Let’s remember that Fallout has a post-apocalyptic world where they trade Nuka Cola caps and eat blowfly skewers, while in Starfield they have megacities in space.
