The actor Patrick Stewartwho has been a star in Star Trek: The Next Generation Y Star Trek: Picardsays he’s ready and willing to come back for another Star Trek movie, that’s right, having played Jean-Luc Picard for seven seasons of Star Trek: The Next Generation and the four films that followed: Star Trek Generations, Star Trek: First Contact, Star Trek: Insurrection, and Star Trek: Nemesis.
He had a comeback for Star Trek: Picard, but the upcoming third and final season of the series will finally see him reunite with the crew from Star Trek: The Next Generation, then during the season’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con, a fan asked Stewart if he would be willing to return for a new movie of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
To which he replied: “Yes is the answer to that, bluntly. I think that would be a very interesting, exciting and worthwhile thing to accomplish.”while alex kurtzmanhead of the Star Trek television franchise and co-creator of Star Trek: Picard, chimed in to say: “I think, in a way, season three is that. But of course, I mean, look, if you love it, let’s see what happens.”
In the meantime, Terry Matalasthe showrunner for season 3 of Star Trek: Picard, previously shared his excitement about reuniting the Star Trek: The Next Generation team: “I remember watching the premiere of Star Trek: The Next Generation almost 34 years ago with my dad like it was yesterday. It was the spark that ignited my love for science fiction.”he said in a press release.
“So it’s only fitting that Jean-Luc Picard’s story ends honoring the beginning, with his dearest and most loyal friends from the USS Enterprise. It would be an understatement to say that giving these characters a proper send-off is an honor. The entire team! of Star Trek: Picard and I can’t wait for fans to experience this final, high-stakes, starship-bound adventure in season three!”
