Kirby and the Forgotten Land has been one of the successes of the franchise in recent times for Nintendo and HAL Laboratory. As this game is the franchise’s leap into a full 3D adventure, many changes have been made to the typical Kirby formula and exploration.
Although some new skills have been introduced, such as the Drill, Forgotten Land also includes upgradable variants of copy abilities kirby. The game also introduces a set of new powers, unrelated to copy abilities, known as Bite Mode transformations.

The origins of this gameplay mechanic were detailed by game director Shinya Kumazaki in a recent interview with Nintendo Dream that was translated into English via Nintendo Everything.
Even though the Bite Mode of kirby It’s a completely new mechanic. Forgotten LandKumazaki notes that it was something he and his team had been wanting to implement for a long time. He even shared a sketch of how it would work, mentioning that he “thought about having Kirby inhale mysterious triangles and squares and then transform.”
More specifically, Kumazaki and his team took note of Kirby’s changeable nature, which allowed him to do things normal human characters couldn’t.
