Podcasts arrived on Amazon Music last September, but only in some markets did we select from which our country was not initially. Fortunately, the wait has not been long and now the podcasts are coming to Amazon Music in Mexico, with content in Spanish specifically focused on the national market.
Amazon Music has announced the launch of podcasts in Spanish for Mexico, with programs already widely known: Creativo, La Corneta 40, La Cotorrisa, Leyenda Legendarias, Despertando, Dementes and TED in Spanish, available free of charge in all Amazon Music modalities, including the new free version. Podcasts can be accessed from the Amazon Music app for iOS and Android, in the dedicated section of Amazon Music and on Echo devices.
Along with these podcasts, Amazon Music ensures that content from major national media will also be available.
Original content to compete with Spotify
As part of the launch of podcasts on its platform, Amazon Music has also announced that, in addition to third-party content , it will bring original content with a focus on the Mexican market . The first is the exclusive Amazon Music podcast “En la sala”, hosted and curated by Latin artist Becky G.
The arrival of podcasts to Amazon Music in Mexico marks the next step in Amazon’s strategy to compete with Spotify, the absolute leader in streaming music -podcasts included- in our country, with more than 80% market share.
Along with the launch of podcasts in Spanish for Mexico, Amazon Music has also released podcasts in Portuguese for Brazil.
