Much of this growth is due to the pandemic and, of course, its inevitable confinement, a fact that forced us to find forms of entertainment that are somewhat different from what we were used to. Without even being able to leave the house, the only “real” thing, paradoxically, was virtual life, as shown by the most recent report from We Are Social and Hootsuitewhich indicates that, in 2021, the number of users connected to the internet grew by 4 percent compared to what was registered in 2020.
There were those who took refuge in music, others in books, some more entered the world of cinema and television series, and there was another handful that found in social networks a way to free themselves from the emotional burden that the arrival supposed. of Covid-19.

Actually, more than a new feature, Spotify will replace its Concert Hubwhich will now be called Live Events Feed.

Spotify is not alone: Snapchat and Uber will help find concerts
It’s no secret that in various parts of the globe there is a significant revival in terms of concerts, this being one of the hardest hit industries due to the global health emergency. In Mexico alone, according to a report by the Inter-American Entertainment Corporation (CIE), a loss of 9,211 million pesos was recorded.
Mexico has not been left behind and, since March of this year, massive concerts began to take place; Today, despite a rebound in positive cases for Covid-19, the reactivation continues.
Taking this as a premise, in addition to Spotify, let us remember the case of Snapchat which, in partnership with Ticketmaster, created a feature for users to help them discover concerts and music events near you.
Similarly, there is the issue of Uber, which a few weeks ago announced to test a new function so that users can buy tickets directly from Ticketmaster and, in addition, plan your trip to the place of the event.
This proves that, ultimately, the concert industry will continue its course; Mexico, from the outset, already has at least more than 50 events scheduled until November of this year.
Strategies such as those of Spotify, Snapchat and Uber, among others, help, on the one hand, for the reactivation to continue with its expansion plans and, incidentally, increase the user portfolio.
