After being involved in an accusation of harassment, the youtuber “SkyDoesMinecraf” sells his channel for the amount of 900 thousand dollars.
Today, with the great boom that social networks have experienced, the content on the different digital platforms has been positioning itself in the preference of users, whether through YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitch, Facebook Live or any other that exists on the market.
Official data speaks of the fact that, at present, there are close to five billion people connected to the Internet and, of course, to social networks, of which it is Facebook which leads the market with just over three billion registered users so far.
Other platforms, such as YouTube, Instagram or TikTok have also reported significant growth, but it is the Chinese social network that has attracted the most attention during the last couple of years (2020 and 2021).
Since the arrival of the pandemic, the name of TikTok began to appear in the main trends in several countries, to such an extent that, in 2021, the platform created by ByteDance has already exceeded one billion active users in just five years since its foundation.
To this day, TikTok, with all the alliances it has made with different content creation sites, such as Vimeo, the power and significance of the Chinese social network continues to grow.
According to data from Cloudflare, TikTok is at the top of the ranking of the most popular and searched sitesbeing, in fact, one of the few non-US platforms to appear on said list, which speaks to the fact that, in the world of digitization, anything can happen
What is all this introduction about? Simple: we live in an era plagued by content creators, where, of course, some are more successful than others (more followers than others), but who, together, speak of a new way of consuming social networks. Today, the different platforms available on the market fulfill a totally different function than the one they had in the beginning.
YouTube is ultimately the mother platform, so to speak. Today, in the ranking of the most used social networks, it occupies the second position, only below Facebook, and it is the one that gave rise to the boom of content creators.
Currently, Twitch, Facebook and even Telegram are already available to create much more complex and complete content, of a longer duration and focused on capturing a particular consumer niche.
Youtuber sells his channel for a powerful reason
So, based on the latter, we have to talk about a youtuber who, for a time, managed to have great popularity thanks to his content, reaching more than 11 million subscribers registered on his channel.
His name is Dahlberg, better known as SkyDoesMinecraft, who started in this profession more than 10 years ago, in 2011, but who is now immersed in serious controversy.
And it is that, according to what has been reported in various media, Dahlberg, who based much of his content on Minecraft, has been accused of harassment by his former partner, a woman named Elizabeth, who, through her social networks decided to publicly denounce the youtuber.
“Dear Adam Dahlbert, aka “netnobody”, it is time for everyone to know the truth. I’m tired of you keeping getting away with it. The police already know.” The woman wrote on her Twitter account.
Dear Adam Dahlberg aka netnobody afka Skydoesminecraft
Its time everyone knows the truth. Im tired of letting you get away with this. The police know.
Putting the evidence below since it won’t upload appropriately https://t.co/xUQHCM23cg— Elizabeth?? ? (@lizbuggie) January 23, 2022
According to what Elizabeth testifies, Dahlbert stole money in order to “feed” his addiction to controlled substances. In addition, she has been accused of sexual harassment against other women, which is why her presence both on YouTube and on social networks has been reduced. There is no longer any trace.
In fact, the last thing that was known about him was that he put his YouTube channel up for sale, for which he was asking for the amount of 900 thousand dollars, that is, $17,987,310 Mexican pesos.
The sale of his channel, as “discovered” by various users, was found on the FameSwap platform, a digital marketplace that allows users to sell and purchase social media accounts.
Thus, in the midst of full statements by his former partner, Adam Dahlbert seems to be determined not to return to social networks.
