Now that things seem to be nearing completion in the libel trial between Amber Heard Y Johnny Deppentering its sixth week yesterday, in what has been a grueling process for the actors and characters involved, heardthe actress who has presented a series of evidence mostly not taken by the jury and who remained on the stand answering questions from both her own lawyers and the lawyers of Depp during cross-examination.
Now that it was his turn to go to the stand, where Amber Heard said his role in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom was considerably reduced from what it once was, which in fact, according to the protagonist of Aquaman herself said that Warner Bros. Pictureswanted to remove it completely, but said that “fought hard” to stay in the movie:
“I fought very hard to stay in the movie. They didn’t want to put me in the movie”testified heardwhere after being asked if he could film scenes like Mere for the film, answered: “Yes, a much reduced version of that role.”
To which the attorney then asked what had changed in the film’s scripts as their lengthy legal battles with Deppto which she said the studio opted to “remove a lot” of scenes in which his character was supposed to appear.
“I was given a script”he added. “Then they gave him new versions of the script that had cut scenes where he had action, which represented my character and another character, without revealing any spoilers. Two characters fighting each other. They basically took a lot of my role. They just cut a lot”.
So the lawyers for Depp They started questioning Heard on Monday afternoon, and now that closing arguments are coming up next may 27thwhich will be followed by the deliberations of the jury, where Deppis suing heard for $50 million in damages, claiming she defamed him in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed.
