Among the more than 20 games that Ubisoft would currently have in development, one of them would be a new IP known as “Project Q”. It would be a arena shooter with elements of battle royale that would already be being tested by the first players, although it would still be in the early stages of its development.
As insider Tom Henderson reports in exuter, the first testers of this Ubisoft Project Q speak of two game modes. The first of them, «Battle Zone», would be a 4 vs 4 mode while «Showdown» would face 4 teams of 2 players each. The latter would be the battle royale mode, while the former would be the more traditional arena mode.
Henderson speaks of a stylized looking shooter, similar to Overwatch, where players can choose their own hero’s weapons, skills, and abilities, as well as “three individual ‘Wonders’ that can be mixed and matched.” It seems to point to a rather wacky play style, Henderson mentions as weapons decks of cards, clubs, fireworks, or paint gunsand skills that allow you to jump and fly around the stage.
More Ubisoft games coming to Xbox Game Pass soon
Ubisoft itself would describe this “Project Q” as an “innovative and modern PvP combat arena game”, but we will still have to wait a bit to check it out. As we will have to see how the French company manages to manage so many multiplayer shooter experiences between this project, XDefiant, The Division: Heartland, Ghost Recon: Frontline and «Pathfinder»
