The Halo Season 2: Infinite kicks off on May 3 and 343 Industries has just introduced its new game modes: King of the Hill, Landgrab, and Last Spartan Standing. This last mode seems to be the expected one. battle royaleone of the most requested modes by Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC gamers.
In a trailer of just under a minute, 343 Industries introduced the three new game modes coming with Season 2 of Halo: Infinite, ‘Lone Wolves’. King of the Hill is a classic mode that is back, while Landgrab is a new mode with similar mechanics. Instead, Last Spartan Standing is a free-for-all mode where 12 players battle it out until only one remains.

Last Spartan Standing it is played on Big Team Battle maps and 12 players duke it out with a limited number of respawns. Once a player’s respawns are depleted, they are out of action and can spectate or retreat without penalty. You can also upgrade your weapon when you kill other players, like in Escalation Slayer mode, and the match ends when only one player is left standing.
In King of the Hill Two teams compete for control of a zone that appears at a random location on the map. When a team enters the neutral zone, it is captured and starts generating 1 point per second until the capture bar fills up. Once full, another Neutral Zone appears elsewhere on the map. In Landgrab, there are 3 neutral zones at the start of the game that grant 1 capture cal each; once captured, another 3 appear. The winner is the first team to reach 11 points.

At the beginning of April it had been confirmed that Season 2 of Halo: Infinite will arrive on May 3 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and PC, with new maps, game modes and another Battle Pass. Last week the Catalyst and Breaker maps were revealed, while the new game modes were revealed today, so we could expect a reveal of the new battle pass next week.
