Now that the good weather is here, we can’t wait to go to the beach, to enjoy the sand between our toes, to immerse ourselves in the water (it doesn’t matter if it’s cold or warm) and lie down in the sun while we relax with the going and come from the waves. Therefore, today we want to propose an exceptional trip to a beautiful area of our geography, specifically, to Cabo de Gata in Almeria.
There are many beaches and coves that we can find in the area, in fact there are more than thirty, for this reason we wanted to make a compilation of five of them, the most beautiful that we found in this Almeria Natural Park where we find paradisiacal places.
Monsul Beach
It could be said that it is the most famous beach in Cabo de Gata and it is known, mainly for that rock that yes, it will sound like movies like Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
We are facing one of the largest and most beautiful virgin beaches of the natural park that is located in the municipality of San José and is next to the Genoveses beach. Thanks to its crystal clear water, it is a great area to snorkel or relax in the sun.

Dead Beach
Another of the great beaches in the area is the one we find in Las Carboneras, which is one of the best in the Mediterranean with transparent waters. It is also a beach where we can do nudism without any problem, mainly on the left side (looking from the sea) of the large rock that is on it.

Los Genoveses Beach
Los Genoveses beach could not be left out of this selection either, as it is also one of the best known, also located in one of the most beautiful bay areas in the Natural Park and is made up of this virgin beach of dunes of fine golden sand.
It is located in the Campillo del Genovés area, which is a small valley located between the Sierra de Gata and the Mediterranean Sea, and in addition, the southern area of the beach is marked by the Morrón de Genoveseswhich offers a privileged view of the beach.

The Middle Cove
We continue with another of the most beautiful coves in the area that is quite isolated, with fine sand and transparent water. Of course, perhaps the worst thing is the access since we will have to walk for a while through a path, although we could also arrive by sea, for example, by kayak. It is 150 meters long and its views are stupendous: on one side the town of Agua Amarga on the other side of the bay and, behind it, the hill Roldán table with its lighthouse and castle.

Salinas Beach
This beach is named after the marshes that are next to it and that form, precisely, some salt flats that, apart from their productive value, some 40,000 tons of salt per year, have a ecological value much larger because it is the habitat of a multitude of animal and plant species.
The beach is between the Torreón de San Miguel almost to the lighthouse of the cape, which is more than 5 kilometers of somewhat irregular beach with areas of fine sand and others that are more stony, but of indisputable beauty.

Cala San Pedro
Another wonderful and privileged place in Cabo de Gata is Cala San Pedro embedded between the hills with fine sand and turquoise water that makes it seem as if we have moved to a tropical setting. To get there and avoid the walk, we can always go by boat from the beach of Black ones for about €12.

The Beach of Rodalquilar
And, in fifth place, we have El Playazo, which is in Níjar, about 3 km from the town of Rodalquilar, a mining town in the area and which, therefore, also becomes an essential place to visit thanks to its fine sand and its unique environment.
In addition, we can see on one of its flanks the Castillo de San Ramón, an 18th-century construction, built to protect itself from pirate attacks, and is also a great area to explore beyond the sand.
