One of the Ubisoft titles that showed a lot of promise when it was introduced several years ago was Ghost Recon Breakpoint, which somehow changed certain mechanics in order to move in a direction that the company thought was the best. However, this was not the case, since today it has been confirmed that Ghost Recon Breakpoint will not receive any further content updates, ending its useful life.
Through its official twitter account, Ghost Recon has published the official message, in which they explain that the game will no longer have new content. Yes OK servers will continue to run alongside Ghost Recon Wildlands, the game will be forgotten for Ubisoft. Let’s remember that this was one of the worst releases of the year 2019, with other titles such as Anthem and Fallout 76.
Ghost Recon Breakpoint will not receive any more content updates
Ubisoft is reportedly working on a new third-person shooter codenamed “Pathfinder.”
As mentioned in the tweet, Ghost Recon Breakpoint has ended its gaming lifespan. For the developers, this term has meant a big step in how they will see the franchise from now on, since in the words of the same study, all the comments received have been “instrumental, and will help shape the future of the franchise.” This is not the first fall that the company has with a title, but it is a strong one considering the weight that the saga has.
Bad news has delivered Ubisoft with Ghost Recon Breakpoint, which due to all the bad things were done with the development, has ended up forgetting the world. Let’s remember that the company is currently developing Ghost Recon Frontline, which they say will return to the roots that players know. However, we do not know anything about this upcoming release yet.
