In any self-respecting pharmacy, the showcase is an element of public attention and that will allow you to get customers while showing some of your products and services. But what should the perfect window display for a pharmacy look like?
One of the main characteristics that it must present is to show “few advertised products or services”. This is because a shop window makes the most sense in impulse buying. That is to say, in the type of purchase that is not planned and that is made impulsively when the customer sees something that catches their attention. So if there are many elements in the showcase, you will not get anything to attract the attention of users.
When talking about shop windows, you must take into account three key concepts that are the following:
- They encourage impulse buying.
- They are perfect in a high traffic area.
- It is the best ally of pharmacies, which are included in what we call “traditional commerce”.
What should a pharmacy showcase have?
These are some of the keys that a good pharmacy showcase should have:
- Few products: an average of 20 seconds is spent on the showcase. Therefore, not cluttering it can improve the visualization of the products that are exposed.
- Clear information: this way it will be easier to understand and, above all, to remember.
- Change it from time to time: it is important to change the window display from time to time (15 days or less depending on the area and other factors) and, fundamentally, in a communication strategy so that it costs much less to change it.
- Be consistent with the events of the year: that is, you must take into account the events that take place each season and adapt the window to them.
- Props: you must take care of and maintain everything that accompanies your product to give the same image and not create discord between the two.
maintenance tips
When it comes to having a pharmacy showcase, you have to take into account a series of maintenance tips, so that it always looks perfect and which are the following:
- A worker must look at it at least twice a day to make sure everything is clean and in its place.
- You must indicate the price and percentage of discount or promotions. If you do not put the price, many people think that the product is expensive and, out of shame, it will not enter the pharmacy.
- The window decoration has to appeal to the target customer. The color combination is essential.
- Have the cost of the showcase paid for by someone else, such as the laboratory. Many laboratories are willing to pay and promote pharmacies that exhibit and bet on their products in shop windows.
- Turn your distributors into sponsors or allies.
- Create your own campaigns and exclusive offers. You must differentiate yourself, throw away the standard cartons of the laboratories and ask for decorations to your measure.
- Make a marketing plan for your pharmacy showcase. Before the end of the year, talk to your suppliers or collaborators and close contracts for the use of your shop windows, types of offers you will have and material they give you.
