Video game sales in the UK region are released each week, and this time this data includes launch sales for Kirby and the Forgotten Landthe new Nintendo Switch exclusive that marks the series’ jump to 3D, which is also Kirby’s most successful release in the region.
GFK Entertainment releases physical sales data every weekend and GI.biz often offers comparative analysis; this time they revealed that Kirby and the Forgotten Land launched so well that it is already the fifth best-selling game in the series in the region, surpassing Kirby and the Rainbow Curse but just below Kirby’s Adventure.

According to Christopher Dring, Kirby is usually one of the smallest Nintendo licenses in terms of sales, so Kirby and the Forgotten Land arrives with good sales that could make it the best-selling game in the series if they stay that way, well in its opening weekend it sold 2.5 times more than the previous best release, which was Kirby Star Allies, also for Nintendo Switch.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land has a free demo that allows us to play three levels of the game, both solo and cooperatively, so the demo can give you an idea of what to expect in the full game. In addition, the game is part of the celebration for the Kirby’s 30th Anniversary Nintendo does this year.
