What is the Hand of Midas
The Hand of Midas is an upgrade accessory known as the “Greed Weapon” because it grants bonus gold and experience when an enemy creep is killed. Its characteristics are the following:
- Gold gain: 160.
- Experience gain: 2.1×.
- Throw range: 600.
This item is also capable of your Hero receiving all the experience and rewards when killing Creeps without being shared by nearby allies. Practically, it is used if you have the mission to farm fast and level up to be prepared in an early game. Therefore, when this item is required, it is recommended to use it as soon as possible to get the most out of it.
Best Heroes to use the Hand of Midas
Mostly used on Heroes with Jungle, Carry, or Support roles, either because they are at a low level, they have a hard time gaining experience, or it requires the early use of their powerful spells. Some of the most recommended characters to equip the Hand of Midas, are the following:
- Faceless Void.
- Invoker.
- Arc Warden.
- Bloodseeker.
- Chaos Knight.
- Jellyfish.
- Slark.
- Sven.
- Wraith King.
- Lifestealer.
- Lone Druid.
- Dazzle.

Best Creeps to use the Hand of Midas
The type of enemy that is killed also affects resource gain when the Hand of Midas is executed.
- Centaur Conqueror: 95 experience reward + 175.5 bonus with the Hand of Midas.
- Satyr Torturer: 95 experience reward + 175.5 bonus with the Hand of Midas.
- Hellbear Demolishing: 95 experience reward + 175.5 bonus with the Hand of Midas.
- Wildwing Ripper: 95 experience reward + 175.5 bonus with the Hand of Midas.
- Dark Troll Summoner: 49% gold and experience (less gold is lost and the same experience is received). It is the best option to remove when it comes to using the Hand of Midas.
It should be noted that among these groups of Creeps there are different categories of enemies that attack in different ways, if you want to take advantage of the Hand of Midas even more, it is recommended that use the item with long distance creep which gives 166.5 experience, than doing it with the Siege Creep which gives only 162.8 experience. The difference is minimal, but remember that in this game every detail counts.
