NFTs are spreading across all industries.
Now, it’s up to the gastronomic sector to exploit its applications to create memorable experiences.
The initiative is taken by Flyfish club, the first restaurant that can only be accessed with NFT memberships.
The Flyfish Club project, managed by the hotel company VCR, will be the first local New York restaurant that will involve NFTs or Non-Fungible Tokens to enjoy an extensive menu of seafood and a space of one thousand square meters dedicated to the gastronomic experience .
Hearing about NFT is visualizing the limits of the digital border, which are becoming popular since the concept of the metaverse began to take hold. In the different proposals of virtual worlds, the growth of a new economy is being seen, where the currency is digital.
The centralized currencies in the institutions will not be enough, in the metaversesusers will need cryptocurrencies or NFTs in order to have an economic role.
The technology of Non-Fungible Tokens gives certainty of exclusivity and authenticity to consumers due to its unrepeatable nature and guarantee in the blockchain.
According to Human Connections Media, during the 2020, the global market value amounted to 338 million dollars, an increase of 138.8 percent over the previous year.
According to Bloomberg, in 2021, the value of the metaverse amounted to 500 billion dollars. Just to measure the growth and adoption, the proposal promoted by Meta registered record figures so far this year, surpassing more than 300 thousand users in three months.
As of April of the same year, sales of NFTs registered in the blockchain of Ethereum during the previous 30 days generated a value of almost 64 million dollars and after January 15, 2022, the aggregate value of the sales during 30 days amounted to approximately 150 million dollars, indicates data from Statistical.
Until the idea of the metaverse, its use and technology become popular and widespread, NFTs are serving to complete experiences or give added value to brands’ omnichannel strategies.
The first restaurant that will carry the gastronomic experience in NFT
Using NFTs to enhance the dining experience, the Flyfish club will feature two memberships: Flyfish (FF) and Flyfish Omakase (FFO). With the first you will have access to the cocktail lounge, the restaurant and an open space where diners will have iconic views of New York City, and the second provides access to everything that the Flyfish club offers and a dish prepared by one of America’s best sushi masters.
“It is the world’s first members-only private dining experience where membership is purchased on the blockchain (…) a premier dining destination in New York City that can be accessed through an NFT,” said David Rodolitz, Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Flyfish Club.
The proposal was made thinking about the freshness of new concepts, innovation and technology that the market is demanding. According to Gary Vaynerchuk, Founder & Chairman of Flyfish, there are many variables around innovation and marketing applied to NFTs that people do not think about, such as giving added value in experiences to consumers through technology.
The marketing experience takes on great relevance when experiences are created through NFT to reach the customer in a creative and memorable way, without a doubt, the key to creating emotional bonds between consumers and brands.
