Xbox recently had news that made many people question what was happening with the company, as it was confirmed that the Xbox Live service would no longer have the option of hiring it for 12 months.
It is thanks to this that many thought it was Microsoft’s way to prepare for the arrival of the new generation of consoles, which could have a completely new service or even a free service.
At the moment, they are just rumors
Since Xbox Live had always been able to contract for one, three or twelve months, the fact that Microsoft decided to change this without prior notice was something that caught everyone’s attention. It is for the above that rumors began to emerge about the future of this service.
According to different users on social networks, this could mean that the online multiplayer service would be completely restructured with the arrival of Xbox Series X. This would mean being able to play online completely free of charge, just like with the PC. Making Game Pass the only paid service where you could get games “free” every month.
Obviously there are no sources to back this up, instead, they are just rumors that supposedly originated from within the company, but it makes perfect sense. This is because each month they were offering Gold users 4 free games in addition to adding other games to the Game Pass service.
It certainly sounds like something Microsoft would do, as they are still earnings for them. Fortunately, we will not have to wait long before receiving news about this service and the future of Xbox platforms, because on July 23 we will have a lot of new information that will surely make us all very happy.
Just remember, this is a rumor, there are no sources.
