Everything indicates that there will soon be news of “Spartacus”.
Like every month, yesterday the free PS Plus games for the month of February 2022 were announced, a good selection of games for all tastes. So far everything normal, but there are people who noticed a small change from previous months that still has no answer, but it could be a new clue to the arrival of “Spartacus”, PlayStation’s response to Xbox Game Pass.
As indicated by several users through social networks, from last month to this PS Plus free games promotional message has changed. If before it put the usual “for PS Plus members”, now it has been replaced by “available this month at no additional cost“. There are those who do not hesitate to affirm that PlayStation is paving the way for the arrival of “Spartacus”, although this PlayStation subscription service that wants to rival Xbox Game Pass is not even official yet.
Sony changed the text on the Playstation Plus promo image for next month.

It is said that “Spartacus” will be an evolution of the current PS Plus that will have three subscription levels and, depending on which one the player is in, they will receive certain advantages, such as backwards compatibility of PS1, PS2, and PS3 games. Just a few weeks ago Mark Cerny, architect of PS5, published the patent for this backwards compatibility.
Apart from these two details, recently found PS3 games in the PlayStation Store and some Trophies already in the system, so there are many clues pointing in the same direction. It shouldn’t take long for PlayStation to officially announce “Spartacus” or whatever its final name is, hopefully it will happen next february in one of those State of Play that was previously leaked.
