Children jump and run all the time, so it is very common that they suffer falls.
Grandmothers have long used various remedies to soothe wounds or bruises. Some are really amazing to believe how to apply coffee or cobwebs!
But experts comment that many of the home remedies used are still not recommended and others, although they are not dangerous, do not imply relief and before applying anything, we must take very seriously first if the little one suffered fainting, there was loss of consciousness or it was a blow to the head that caused a severe concussion.
We made a recap of the most popular remedies that we have found on social networks and that have been passed down from generation to generation.
Vinegar to disinfect wounds
Vinegar has been used as a disinfectant, being a derivative of the fermentation of pure alcohol and, due to its chemical qualities, it has a wide variety of uses. But to disinfect a wound, the use of soap and water is preferable.
Eggshell for healing
It is recommended as a healing agent, but more than the eggshell, what is most used is the egg membrane.
Knife for bumps
Pressing a knife against the bump is believed to make the blow-related edema disappear, and if it can create additional risks, such as injury, it should not be done.
Cold meat to deflate, saliva to heal wounds, or coffee or cobwebs to stop bleeding
Neither of these practices is recommended because of the high risk of infection.
The best thing is to know that after a serious fall, which causes vomiting, dizziness, severe pain in the extremities and even seizures, takes your child immediately to the emergency room to be evaluated and thus avoid further suffering, a complication of not attending to them on time.
