A Statista Global Consumer Survey has revealed that Facebook ads are the most prominent and noticeable for users.
Advertising is based on practically everything we consume; it is everywhere and it seems that we will not be able to save ourselves from it.
For some users, sometimes it is even annoying to enter a site and immediately be invaded by an avalanche of advertising that has little or nothing to do with what they are looking for, which is why, on occasions, they decide not to enter said site or, failing that, access as little as possible.
In the world of social networks, advertising has a different way of operating, much less intrusive, but that houses more ads due to what the platform in question represents.
In that sense, the participants in the Statista Global Consumer Survey mentioned that Facebook is where the ads are most noticeable and prominent in countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany.
The second position is occupied by Instagram, owned by Facebook, where respondents revealed that it is the platform where ads are most noticeable, with Germany being the country where respondents thought more about Instagram than in the United States and the United Kingdom.
TikTok, ByteDance’s social network is placed in third place, mainly in countries such as the United States and Germany. For their part, Twitter, Snapchat and Pinterest are the sites where respondents least reported that ads are more noticeable.
The issue of social media ads has become one of the most controversial in recent weeks, following statements by Frances Haugen, a former Facebook worker, who claimed that Mark Zuckerberg’s social network puts its business interests ahead of security e users, a fact that has put the platform in check.
