There are barely a couple of months until the second season of The witcher reaches Netflix and its main stakeholders continue to explain what we can expect from this new batch of episodes. In that sense, now the fiction starring Henry Cavill offers new details about the relationship between Geralt and Ciri, among many other topics that the new installment of one of Netflix’s most successful series will address. Meanwhile, as you can see below, Cavill himself has posted a new poster focusing on Geralt of Rivia on his Instagram account, reminding us how close we are to continuing with this story of epic, monsters and magic.
“It was important to me that Geralt put aside his reluctance about his Surprise Boy this season. You have decided to take this particular pathSo he will do the best he can, ”Cavill said about how Geralt and Ciri’s relationship will evolve. Freya Allan, actress who gives life to the young Cintriana, has commented the following: “When she sees him she feels that feeling of relief, there is his future and I think he thinks that hopefully has found its protector”(via Redanian Intelligence). “Ciri definitely wants to be a witch. However, this is where she and Geralt collide because Geralt wants to protect her and that implies that she does not become a witch ”, Allan concluded.
Netflix announces which are the most viewed series on the platform
Lauren S. Hissrich, showrunner of The Witcher on Netflix, also wanted to explain briefly how the second season will differ from the first season of the series: “In season 1, especially with all those short stories from The Last Wish and The Sword from Sapkowski’s fate, we embrace those different shades. In season 2 it has been my intention to continue doing it that way, let it flow, but the stories are a little more intense. We lean on those dark elements and I think they fit perfectly with the stories. The only thing we wanted to try to be truly consistent in maintaining was the Geralt’s sense of humor”. Remember that the second season of The Witcher will be available in full on Netflix next December 17.
