The arrival of Uncharted 5 could have been leaked by Naughty Dog itself.

A new Uncharted installment could be coming to the PS5 catalog, according to the latest information. Uncharted is one of PlayStation's biggest series, so any move involving Naughty Dog's license is closely watched. However, the Californian company itself emphasized that it had ended the series after Nathan Drake's last adventure, so its return seemed unlikely. However, for a couple of years now, there has been talk of the possibility of an Uncharted 5 that would be in the hands of Naughty Dog itself, and the study of its footprint may have shed some light on this. The studio's own heads already announced some time ago that they are working on several simultaneous single-player projects, which led to the belief that The Last of Us Part III was in the works. However, there are hires that point in another direction other than Uncharted 5. The project directed by Shaun Escayg, who led Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, is attracting attention in this sense, adding new workers to its ranks. In addition, an advertisement from Sony in 2023 also left small clues in one of its settings, which was identified with the saga's graphics engine. For this reason, fans hope that Uncharted 5 will soon be a reality, reviving one of the sagas that has provided the best moments for PS3 and PS4 players in recent years.

Uncharted 5 could star Nathan and Elena's daughter

Rumors about a new Uncharted project have been circulating for some time now. Bloomberg's Jason Schreier previously reported that Bend Studio was collaborating with Naughty Dog, acting as a support team for the Californian company's future projects, and that development on a new Uncharted game had already begun. While no further details about this title have emerged, a recent LinkedIn update from a Bend Studio employee appears to have shed some light on the project, suggesting an official announcement could be coming soon. Initial rumors indicated that the lead role could go to Cassie Drake, the daughter of Nathan Drake and Elena Fisher, though this remains mere speculation as neither Sony nor Bend Studio have confirmed any details. However, corroboration of the information provided by Schreier reinforces the idea that the return of Uncharted is closer than previously thought.
