New controversy with youtubers
It is well known that the way in which youtubers obtain income is through the sponsorships of the brands that they include in their content, but many times these agreements are completely a personal business that violates the advertising agreement.
A case of this is demonstrated with a content creator that has generated controversy in Spain, where the youtuber Borja Escalona recorded a live video while he entered and consumed in the Vigo bar “A tapa do barrel”, but ended up threatening the business to charge him for the publicity he made with his recording, after the business will charge him for everything he consumed.
The world will be better the day they arrest this type of beings.
Borja Escalona has been “living on the face” for a long time, and on top of that he always brings out the threatening tone.

“Lucía, the site is wonderful, I’m going to continue teaching more,” the youtuber told the employee, who then asked him to pay the bill.
Through the video, you can see the content creator who has a community of more than 30 thousand subscribers on his YouTube profile, answering the local worker, with an attitude of astonishment, saying that he only eats in free places.
By not allowing him to eat for free on site, the influencer express: “wait because we are in a problem; because then I have to charge you for this promotion that we just did. It’s going to be a little more expensive.”
Likewise, he maintains that the business will receive an invoice for the promotion he made, for about 2,500 euros (around 50,000 Mexican pesos).
The content creator, after not liking being charged, encouraged his followers not to put negative reviews on the establishment to achieve the opposite effect.
“You can have a negative review because one day things go wrong for you or because not everyone likes the same things. With education, everyone can do what he wants ”, explained the owner of the premises, Ana Terzado, to the Spanish communication doctor Faro de Vigo.
The owner of “A tapa do Barril” also denounced that after the altercation with the youtuber she received some reviews on Google of one-star ratings, from alleged consumers who claimed to have found “hair in the food or even scourer cables”.
Given the uncomfortable situation, the owners of the premises were forced to issue a statement through their Instagram profile, describing the content creator’s visit as a “very unpleasant incident”.
“Yesterday, at our Porta do Sol location, we experienced a very unpleasant incident that has compromised our brand image, one of our workers and, therefore, the entire team that forms part of A Tapa do Barril”you can read in the post.
“From here, we want to thank all the messages of affection that we are receiving and also alert to the use that certain people are spreading through social networks: messages and speeches from hate and violence, from disrespect and the ‘everything goes for the click’”.
“We are clear about it, with networks or without networks, we will continue for another 50 years, doing what we know how to do: work, work and work”concluded the message.
After the video went viral, a wave of support has been unleashed for the worker and the owners of the place, who have defended the attitude of their employee.
“The best empanadillas in all of Vigo. Its price is worth it”, is one of the more than 21 thousand 500 evaluations that the establishment already has, with an average of 4.9 score in Google.
This controversy is not the first that Borja Escalona has starred in, since in the last week, the youtuber has boasted on his social networks of having sneaked into several football stadiums without permission, but also in March 2021, Escalona was arrested at the Puerta del Sol de Madrid for attacking a woman with a shaver, because the youtuber made a recording for his channel in which he walked around threatening pedestrians.
