At the latest Apple product presentation, the Cupertino brand unveiled for the first time its new version of its flagship device: the iPhone 14 (in all its variants).
Within the wide range of novelties (screen size, format, cameras, memory and colors), the iPhone 14 has a function that allows car accidents to be detected.
To find out if the tool is really useful for drivers, youtuber from the TechRax channel decided to test it.
The new function of the iPhone, according to Apple, detects when the car in which it is inside has suffered some kind of accident, this feature enables the possibility of, for example, making a call to 911 to warn the authorities of the problem.
Using the accelerometers installed in the unit, plus the built-in GPS and microphones, the iPhone 14 software is able to tell if the user is involved in a serious traffic accident.
Based on algorithms, the program analyzes the data collected by the sensors and, combining all the information, concludes (or not) if the car in which you are traveling has suffered a serious traffic incident.
From that, it makes a predetermined call to 911 or to the emergency services of each country, or to a specific person that the user has specially configured.
