If you are looking for a unique vacation, in a literal sense, you have the possibility of signing up for the first tourist trip by airship to the North Pole in history.
Going on vacation to the beach is very good, but if you are looking for something more original, there is an ideal place to avoid being hot or suffering from crowds: the North Pole.
A few weeks ago we talked about Ana Bru, the first Spanish woman to travel into space. She is the founder of the BRU & BRU travel agency, which is dedicated to organizing unique tourist trips.
In addition to owning the exclusive of Virgin Galactic space flights in Spain, BRU & BRU also participates in the first tourist trip to the North Pole by airship. Here you can see the video:
It is a journey developed by OceanSky Cruises, but the Barcelona agency organizes its own flight with local guides.
For the first time in history, an airship will land at the North Pole. It is the Airlander, the largest aircraft in the world.
With 92 meters long and 26 meters high, can reach a speed of 92 miles per hour. It is a hybrid aircraft that shares some aspects of flight with the airship, and others with helicopters and airplanes.
Although it can climb like an airship, it requires a plane’s forward momentum to fly.
The OceanSky model fitted for tourism has 8 double suits for a total of 16 passengers, in addition to the crew.
The airship has wide viewpoints and even a room with a glass floor, to be able to see whales, polar bears or herds of reindeer, during the journey.
The journey, which lasts 36 hours, part of Svalbard Island, one of the northernmost towns on Earth, and includes a landing at the very North Pole, with a sleigh ride included, and the possibility of enjoying atmospheric phenomena such as the Northern Lights.
The first flight is scheduled for May 23, 2023. This is the complete program:
